Nurse Licensure Compact
Effective January 1, 2004, North Dakota joined the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
Beginning January 19, 2018 North Dakota will belong to the enhanced Nurse Licenuse Compact (eNLC).
The Nurse Licensure Compact allows the multistate licensure privilege to practice in other compact states.

MN License Recognition for Nurses from Border State
The North Dakota Board of Nursing continues to NOT recognize reciprocity of nurse licensure through the Minnesota Border States Recognition Law. MN currently does not belong to the Nurse Licensure Compact.
